The Minister of Labor is organizing the 2nd edition of the National Fair of Social Economy
Bucharest, October 2011—The Minister of Labor, Family, and Social Protection (MMFPS) has organized the 2nd edition of the National Fair of Social Economy, on this date in Piaţa George Enescu in Bucharest, from 12-14 October 2011.
The fair will bring together in the center of the city 50 Romanian businesses of social economy, cooperatives, micro-finance institutions, providers of social services, and others—organizations active in the production and distribution of goods, with and without components of social inclusion, with the purpose of promoting such.
This event is the best occasion to discover what the businesses of social economy are, what they do, with whom they work, and what their role is in the development of communities from an economic standpoint as well as from a perspective of social integration.
Public access to visit the fair will be free.
Simultaneously will be the conference Social Economy—An Innovative Model for the Promotion of Active Inclusion of Disfavored People, at Sala Palatului (in Sala Coloanelor, starting 12 October 2011, starting at 10:00 am). The conference will have international participation and will address initiators and promoters of social economy activities, as well as professionals both public and private who are interested in cooperative opportunities in this field.
MMFPS has organized the fair of social economy under the strategic project “Social Economy—An Innovative Model for the Promotion of Active Inclusion of Disadvantaged People”. The project takes place in partnership and contributes to the development of a fair, efficient, and modern system in regards to social economy, thus participating in the increase of the quality of life of Romanian citizens through the promotion of active inclusion of such in the labor market as well as in social life.
